Conflict of Interest Regulation is Completed

At the CRTO, the Conflict of Interest regulation is completed along with the Oxygen Clinical Best Practice Guideline (CBPG); the CRTO joins Twitter^TM and the website is completely re-designed and launched in Fall 2013 to better serve our Members and stakeholders. There are 3,133 RTs registered in Ontario (2,236 female and 897 male).

In early 2013 meteorites plunged from the sky into Russia injuring hundreds and causing a lot of property damage. Later that year, Chris Hadfield makes history as the first Canadian to head the International Space Station and Justin Trudeau is elected the federal Liberal Party Leader. Beloved former South African president and international equality symbol Nelson Mandela passes away at the age of 95. Maggie Thatcher (the Iron Lady) also passes away this year, and Pope Benedict XVI resigns from his post. Other events of 2013 include the U.S. Government shutdown, super typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines and the Lac Mégantic train disaster in Quebec. House of Cards debuts on TV, along with The Blacklist and The Michael J. Fox Show. Movies Frozen, The Wolf of Wall Street, American Hustle and 12 Years a Slave become some of the most acclaimed films of the year.
