There are three types of applicants that can apply.

Applicants From Canadian RT Programs
This section is intended for applicants who have graduated or are about to graduate from an approved Respiratory Therapy program. The Application for Registration Guide provides a detailed overview of the process.
Applicants from Other Canadian Jurisdictions
This section is intended for applicants who are currently registered to practise as Respiratory Therapists in other (regulated) Canadian jurisdiction and have practised the profession there within the past two years.
Applicants Educated Outside of Canada
This section is intended for applicants who are from outside of Canada. If you are applying for registration with the CRTO, and you have not graduated from one of the approved respiratory therapy programs, you will be required to complete the CRTO’s entry-to-practice assessment.
